Business Growth and Sustainablity Forum (BuGS)

"Green Financing - Bright Future"

On December 8, 2009, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce hosted the last in the series of the Business Growth and Sustainability Series 2009.  The topic for the event was "Financing Green" and sponsored by Morris, Manning, & Martin LLP.  Woodrow Cannon of Clean Energy Partners LLC moderated the discussion.  The panelists included Lisa Robinson (Georgia Green Loans), Michael Blake (Habif, Arogeti, and Wynne), and Chuck Thorp (Energy Finance).

After initial presentations, the panelists answered questions regarding available options to finance green projects in today's economy.  As a result of a large attendance, many topics were discussed in a very open forum.  Some of the many questions discussed were loan types available, projects that meet loan requirements, time of loan processing, and green industries currently receiving venture capital.  At the end of the discussion, attendees were provided the opportunity to speak directly to panelists.

Below are the presentations during the event along with photos of the panelists.
